I love to keep in touch with rss feed. The second best bet is email. The volume of email I get is just ~ a lot! However, I still do my best to reply to each and every personal email sent to me. Realistically you’ll either get a reply right away or in a few weeks. If you didn’t hear from me, it is due heavy filter systems. If it is not in ‘inbox’, probably it was deleted by sparky the server robot.
